week1:
You hear me okay?
Very well yes.
Me, i have to, well i have to listen closely because you know i'm not very young anymore, you know, you don't know what old age is yet, but this is one of its inconveniences... well alright then i'll give it a try.
My name is Michel, I live in a small village of 2800 people in southern France. I am a widower and therefore I live alone. I am fortunate however in that I own in a big house on a 800 square meters lot with a nice garden. As the world has moved into quarantine, at the beginning I felt I was in prison. A few years ago I was gravely ill and many times during a pretty long period I had to be in confinement at the hospital. The current situation brings back some painful memories unfortunately.
Little by little I am realizing that the confinement will be longer than I thought even though i would very much like it to end soon. Therefore I've decided to organize my time in a smarter way in order to get through this quarantine the best possible way. From my point of view, it is important to establish the daily rites or a little routine because, if not, reality could become confusing without clear boundaries and references. It is consequently crucial to have little daily projects and to execute them with discipline. My plans right now are not weekly but daily. I think we have to define those plans independent of the quarantine timeline because we don't know when it will happen. My daily plan is in line with the kind of day I have and how I feel at this moment. I try to make each day as fun and as meditative as possible to reflect on the life I have had up to this point and how I can improve it day by day. My objective is to transform the current situation from a handicap into an opportunity, to elevate my thinking, to enrich my life now and to figure out a way to see the future differently. This is a good moment for personal reflection. For me, it is a real opportunity to view things differently, consider my life under a new light, and try to make it richer and more interesting.
